We are finally getting the basement whipped into shape, and just in time to accomodate its first guests - Dustin's parents will be coming to visit in August to see the baby. Dustin did almost all the work down here himself, and I can't believe how much I love the outcome. The basement was so overwhelming to me when we first saw the house, that it almost made me not want to buy this house. Now, it's our favorite place to be - it's cooler than the rest of the house, it's private, and cozy. Dustin put a built-in bookshelf in one spot where there is a crawlspace, and it turned out great. Now we just need to hook up some plumbing fixtures in the bathroom, and it should be done! Wow, we bought this house almost a year ago, and there have been some BIG changes since then!
